About Stacie Clary
My intensive training and skills in communication, personal motivation, and planning facilitate my clients in achieving their full potential as I assist in setting goals, overcoming challenges and fears, and making the right choices.
I became a Personal Development Coach because I believe that everyone deserves to live the best life they can. We all have the potential inside of us to be happy and creative, have wonderful relationships, and make a mark on our world and community. Too often we don't reach this potential because we're bogged down with fears, stress, and beliefs that we aren't good enough, smart enough, or don't deserve a great life. I truly believe that with the support and inspiration of a personal development coach, everyone could live the life they want and be true to themselves and their values. With a society of people reaching their potential, think about what a great society we would have! I want to be part of this change.
I graduated and received my certification from the Institute for Professional Empowerment Coaching (IPEC) in 2006. This extensive training program is certified by the International Coaching Federation and is recognized as one of the top life coaching training programs in the country.
Prior to making my own career change to Personal Development Coaching, I was a leader in a number of nonprofit organizations since 1989. My latest position was Executive Director of the California Coalition for Food and Farming. Other organizations I have worked for include the Sacramento Housing Alliance, Sacramento AIDS Foundation, and Friends of the River. In my management positions I had the opportunity to use many of the same skills needed by great coaches - interpersonal communication, motivation, inspiring others, goal-setting, and holding others accountable to their stated goals.
My ability to move others forward as a team in achieving their vision gave me the opportunity to fill a leadership role on many boards and councils; including the National Campaign for Sustainable Agriculture, Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education, Sacramento Hunger Commission, and California Food and Justice Coalition.
I happily reside near the coast in California with my husband, two cats, and senior dog. I enjoy creative writing, literature, sea kayaking and other outdoor activities, community activism, great food, and quietly relaxing at the beach.
